Tale of Shuene Book 2: Chapter 5

Shuene awakens at some point throughout the journey to the war zone. He has a feeling in his heart that they are close. This is the final day of the trip, and everyone is in a panic, Shuene sits up and stretches, a small vibration on the floor lets him know he is not alone. He "looks" forward not that it does any good. He walks to the door and turns one more time, looking directly at whoever is in the room, then leaves. He at this point knows that wasn't his room and due to the scent of the person, it was a woman's room. Shuene walks and finds the elevator after much guidance and many hours. He eventually arrives in his own room, and walks in, looking up. That healing bay, what if it could help him, right now. Shuene feels around for a button, and his hand strikes it, then he gently pushes it and the lid hits his head. He backs up, rubbing his skull and reaches up for one of the two handles he remembered being in the pod. He grabs it and pulls himself up and eventually is snug in the pod, after a short vibration and a small tap to his foot, he almost begins to hear noises, and he can say words once again, but the pod breaks. The only thing it was able to do was bring back his voice and a very small amount of hearing, almost insignificant. He walks out of the room, and Lilli is standing in front of him, he greets her and she embraces him.

He can feel tears touching his shoulder, she is crying, why would she be crying? The ship stops and Lilli takes Shuene's hand in hers and pulls him along, they arrived. They walk for about 20 meters then they stop and he bumps into her lightly. They air around them changes and he can feel a hot wind, the drop bay is open, and he is pushed out of the ship, but Lilli is holding him, so that he won't just splat the ground, seeing as how he has no idea of when to pull a chute. They land and the ground shakes every second, the whole demon army is here, and they are ready for the bloodshed ahead. Shuene runs off, without sight or hearing, he can just sense where he is heading. Right to Heisa, and right under the army's nose. He eventually arrives at a cold metal surface, the bottom of the citadel.
