Pokémon is fairly old at least to my generation. It started out Red, Blue, and Yellow, game boy color's in my opinion best feat. They only had 150 back then and now I believe they are past 600 now. Around the time it first came out it was such a big hit, it got it's own show, a show that is stuck into my mind because of how groundbreaking it was.
It's main character was Ash Ketchum, a boy from Pallet Town. One day he woke up and was ready for adventure. He headed down to Professor Oak's to get his Pokémon, but when he got there, all the pokéballs were taken, except one, Pikachu. Over the years, the show started to deteriorate and fall apart. But Black and White in my opinion revived the series. This show, and game franchise has lasted for a long time and will last longer, and that is why this creation is magnificent!

Nerdiness episode 7
Vocaloid is a singing synthesizer. It was developed through a joint research project led by Kenmochi Hideki at the Pompeu Fabra University in Spain in 2000 and originally was not intended to be a full commercial project. It's basic use allows people to input lyrics and melody and synthesize them. It allows people to add stress to words, adjust the vibrato, and a few other things.
It was originally designed for artists to create their music, but many artists have been created off the program itself. Among these is my personal favorite, Miki, who is one of the less famous ones with only about two songs, Satellite and iNSaNiTY. A link to my favorite song, iNSaNiTY is below.

Neediness VI
Okay so everyone, I hope, has played The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This game was literally beaten through it's music. The first time Sheik came in, the great little annoying fairy, Navi, then your horse, Epona. This game threw something into Zelda that was foreign, the power of music, and time travel. So the game begins in Kokiri forest, with the hero, , the only child without a fairy in the forest. The Great Deku Tree, the protector of the forest and Kokiri people, sends out Navi the fairy because it is time for the hero to begin his journey.
So you go and meet The Great Deku Tree who is ill because a dark force is taken home within him. So you go in and save The Great Deku and he tells you to journey to Hyrule and find the king. You sneak into the castle and find Princess Zelda, who believes dark wizard named Ganondorf is here to destroy the land and decides to help you. You collect the three spiritual stones and pull the master sword, but since you are a child time skips to 7 years later so you have the heart of a hero to wield the blade. While you were gone Ganon took over and it is up to you to call together the sages to seal away the evil.

Nerdiness Episode V
So Kingdom Hearts recently came out with the franchise's newest game for the 3DS, Dream Drop Distance. Square Enix seems to be completely taking Kingdom Hearts in a new manner. Instead of using Disney characters as your partners, you get to make your party and customize who is in it, with the main characters being the exception. As well as a new spin on who you fight along side, you get two different lives. That might not make the most sense, but what I mean is you get a meter, when it runs out, you "Drop". When you drop you enter the other main characters life. Now the two people you alternate between is of course Sora, main character overall the series, and Riku. The whole game is based on both their journeys towards becoming Keyblade masters.
For the people who need some back story, Sora and Riku are two people who were friends on an island with only about 4 others until they decide to make a raft and leave. Before they are going to set off into the sea. The first of the Heartless arrive to take all the islanders hearts. Everyone gets swallowed into the darkness except Sora who stays to fight. At this point, Sora unleashes his true weapon, the Keyblade. The Keyblade is a legendary blade that holds tremendous power. So Sora beats the heartless and travels into the darkness to save Kairi, the girl he likes, and his best friend Riku. So Riku and Sora are on their way to becoming true Keyblade masters, but must pass the test. So the partners you get in this game are creatures called Spirits. All spirits are based on animals, and they all have different ways of helping out the main character.

Nerdiness Episode 4
So since I have been thinking about my favorite things, I decided that for today, I will write about the all time best movie created, at least I think it is, and that film is The Nightmare Before Christmas. This movie is in my opinion the all time best because it combines everything I like into one film, Heroes and Villains, Dark and spooky, Christmas, claymation, and of course it's a musical. Now I like most of Disney movies, at least the older ones, and most Tim Burton ones, as long as they are animated, but this movie has something about it that I feel like I can relate to.
This movie follows the life of one Jack Skellington as he is the pumpkin king in Halloween town, a town revolving around the scary holiday Halloween. But there is something missing for Jack, the same thing every year, he wants to mix it up some, but doesn't know how. He leaves after a Halloween celebration depressed and alone, walking through a graveyard, and his ghost dog, Zero, comes to join him. Little does he know his admirerer, Sally, is watching him, she feels the same way, she wants something new, something different. Jack walks along through the Dark Woods and stumbles upon a gate to Christmas town which of course, is the town revolving around Christmas.
Jack hatches an idea that I won't spoil for you, and a lot of bad things happen, and people get sad, and then happy, and everything in the end works out just like it should.

Nerdiness Episode 3
Since last Thursday I did my second favorite anime today I decided I would talk about my favorite anime, and one that still has episodes being released, Case Closed (Detective Conan in Japan). Our story begins at an amusement park, where high school detective Jimmy Kudo is out with his childhood friend Rachael Moore. Jimmy is obsessed with Sherlock Holmes who he believes to be the best Detective of all time, and so all he talks about the whole time is Sherlock, but all the chatter and fun comes to an end when a murder happens, Jimmy quickly solves it but notices a few mysterious men in black lurking around and decides to follow one, leaving Rachael alone. Jimmy stumbles upon something he wasn't supposed to see and the men in black give him a drug that is supposed to be untraceable and kill him, but it has a different effect when instead it shrinks him down to the age of a small boy. Jimmy quickly rushes home and can't even get inside when he hears and explosion, his neighbor Doctor Agasa is a genius inventor who may of had less successful inventions then one would think. Jimmy goes to the Doctor and tells him everything, but of course Agasa assumes that it is just some little kid with an imagination, but Jimmy proves it with some excellent sleuth work. Agasa tells him that he must keep his secret hidden or the men in black will come to finish the job. Agasa takes Jimmy into the Kudo house and Rachael arrives, looking for Jimmy, but all she finds is Agasa and shrunken Jimmy, she asks what the boys name is and he quickly uses some detective author's names and creates the name Conan Edogawa. Agasa talks Rachael into taking Conan, because her father is also a detective and if Conan can work behind the scenes to make him a great one, he may be able to uncover the truth about the men in black, and their poison, because if he can get the poison, Agasa can make an antidote and return Jimmy to his old self. So the whole anime is behind the scene work by Conan to make one Richard Moore the best detective around, a hard task that Conan faces, but he knows that no matter what, "One truth prevails". This anime is above 600 episodes now, most of them not in English and has 16 movies. Unfortunately after 4 movies and 5 seasons, Funimation cut their project and ended the English dubbing, leaving fans upset, but the Japanese version still goes on and maybe one day the English version will return, and a new generation of fans will be born.
